BONUS LOG: The Time I Walked With My Ex-Girlfriend To Handel's Messiah

Crossing the West Third Street Bridge
This past December, Emily and I were able to walk downtown to see the annual performance of Handel's Messiah by the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton Ohio.

It was crisp in the high 30s, but a nice walk nonetheless.

We intended on walking to Mudlick Tap House  but when we arrived we were informed that their kitchen had closed (an hour before closing time).  That is one strange thing about Downtown Dayton, many places are closed early on Sunday or completely on Monday.

We ended up getting a seat at the bar (50% of the dinning space was reserved for a large party) at Uno Pizzeria and Grill.  Not a local place but they did a good job getting us our food just in time for us to finish it and head over to the performance.  We saw a few of the Dayton Philharmonic string section there.

I am delighted when we are able to take advantage of the benefits of living downtown.  Taking walks with my bride is something we had not previously taken efforts to see happen.  Here's to more fancy-town walks with M'lady.
